National Real Estate Advisors Awarded “Green Star” Status by GRESB

August 15, 2016

For the second consecutive year, National Real Estate Advisors (National) achieved a Green Star for its environmental, social responsibility and governance polices from the Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (GRESB). The company also improved its overall performance by 20% over 2015 and measured 6.5% above its peer group average for 2016. GRESB is a leading measure of sustainability performance for real estate portfolios around the world and its Green Star ratings recognize portfolios that have strong sustainability management, policy, measurement, implementation and quantitative results.  Companies volunteer to participate in the GRESB ratings, and participating companies are generally more committed to advancing sustainability initiatives than businesses which do not participate.

Jeff Kanne, President and CEO of National, said: “Our company is dedicated to meeting the highest standards in sustainability and stewardship policies, which we strongly believe will help us generate more competitive projects and better investment results for our clients over time. We will continue to focus our asset management and corporate governance on improving our performance year over year.”
