The Jefferson Health Honickman Center recently received national recognition with an Award of Excellence in Healthcare Design from the American Institute of Architects. This prestigious award celebrates healthcare projects that reflect a commitment to sustainability and human-centered design.

The 19-story, 462,000-square-foot outpatient specialty care facility, part of our East Market mixed-use development, is the product of a strategic collaboration between National Real Estate Development, Jefferson Health, and the design team of Ennead Architects, Stantec, and Philadelphia-based BLTa. The design was centered around the intersection of advanced technology and human-guided care, with clinical spaces optimized to enhance patient-provider interaction. Far from a traditional medical office, the Honickman Center consolidates a variety of medical specialties and treatments under one roof, providing centralized healthcare access for the local community.

The AIA Health Design Award seeks to recognize projects in healthcare design and planning, from hospitals to outpatient centers, community clinics, and wellness facilities.
