Mr. Epstein is responsible for the daily oversight and delivery of specific development projects in National’s portfolio, with focus on the hotel, retail and office development activities of the East Market project in Philadelphia, PA. He is also involved in the development of a mixed-use, city-block development at Buzzard Point in Washington, D.C.

Mr. Epstein’s experience in retail planning and construction management, and his background in architecture and design help him create an exciting combination of pedestrian-oriented retail, hospitality, office and residential spaces, within the context of larger mixed-use projects. He joined National in 2016, and in addition to the development and implementation of the FF&E program for East Market’s 236-key boutique hotel, he has helped to craft East Market’s retail curation and site activation program.

Mr. Epstein began his career as a Junior Architect with Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates in New York City, and progressed in his career to a Senior Manager, Store Planning with Tiffany & Co., overseeing new store construction and renovation projects, including their flagship store in Union Square, San Francisco. Prior to that, Pete worked as a Construction Project Manager for Urban Outfitters, Inc.

Mr. Epstein earned a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania, and a Master of Architecture from Columbia University. Mr. Epstein is also a licensed and registered architect with the American Institute of Architects in the state of New York.
